How to order your portrait
Step 1 – Choosing a photo

I will need clear photograph to work from, either one that has been taken with the portrait in mind or a high quality photo that you already have. I cannot work from photos that are in any way blurred, the better the photo the better the portrait will be as there will be more detail for me to work with.

Step 2 – Sending your photo/s and medium and size requirements

You can send your photo or photos to me by email or post, it is always preferable to have more than one to look at and then I can let you know which would make the best portrait. Please look at the size and price guide to decide on your requirements for the portrait and whether you would like it in pencils or coloured pastels. Once you have decided or would like to discuss it further please get in touch.

Step 3 – Acknowledgement & Deposit

Once I have received your photos and requirements I will be in contact to confirm that your photo will be ok to work from, I will also confirm the price and take a £20 deposit – you can pay via Paypal, direct bank transfer or cheque. I’ll be able to let you know how long the portrait will take to complete. Once you confirm you are happy with this I will get to work.

Step 4 – Approval and final payment

When the portrait is finished I will scan and email it to you, once you confirm you are happy with it I will request final payment (Paypal, direct bank transfer or cheque).

Step 5 – Receive your portrait

Your portrait will be mounted (included in the price for UK) and well packaged and posted Special Delivery for UK.

Please keep file size under 4 mb. You can upload a jpg or pdf. The photograph must be of good quality and you must be happy with the pose.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required before work commences and final payment is made when the work is complete (you will be sent a preview) and before delivery. I accept direct transfers or you can pay by card via Paypal. Instructions will be provided.

I can draw any number of subjects and in larger sizes, just let me know your requirements and I can send you a quote.

Backgrounds

Most of my portraits do not have a background, you would just see the plain white of the paper. If you do require a background I would give the the additional cost depending of how much detail is involved once I have seen a photo.

Medium

I work mainly in coloured pencils and pastels, once I have seen the photo I can let you know which medium would be more suitable.

Time Frame

This is dependant on my current workload and usually at least 8 weeks, if you did need for a particular event please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
